Helping Healers
- Helping Healers shows our appreciation for the community’s newest doctors on the COVID-19 frontline by providing each medical resident from a host hospital a wellness backpack. The backpacks are a way to say thank you for your dedication to the pandemic and its thousands of patients. As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to provide items to assist in uplifting and maintaining mental health.
- Helping Healers know doctors have experienced extreme trauma during this pandemic. Dedicated new medical residents entered the profession to treat patients with compassion at a time where depression of healthcare workers is at an all time high as a direct by-product to the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Helping Healers has the goal of delivering wellness backpacks to hundreds of medical residents at many host hospitals across the country. We hope each resident finds some measure of peace as they pause between the healing of others to enjoy the wellness backpacks.
- Helping Healers cannot thank them without your assistance. 100% of your donation will go towards a Helping Healers wellness backpack. Each care backpack with wellness items cost $55. With your donation, the medical resident will receive a drawstring backpack, full size plush blanket, tea packets, stress balls, reflection journal, affirmation cards, aromatherapy oils, personalized thank you notes and information on meditation, mental health therapy and suicide prevention. We are ready to pack and ship support. Please donate today!

Where is my Care Package GOINg?
Helping Healers chose Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York as our first host location. New York was the epicenter of COVID-19 and its medical and surgical residents are still tirelessly caring for patients. They are tired and need our appreciation.
Future planning: With success, Helping Healers will choose other host hospitals where its medical residents have worked on the frontline of the Covid-19 pandemic. Check back with Helping Healers where we will include announcements and updates on our care packages and host hospitals.
Community help through AWARENESS
